A fire at an apartment complex left one family without a home. The fire happened on the top floor apartment at a unit at Heritage Park Complex.

It started just after noon, Friday in the kitchen area of the apartment. Sprinklers went off keeping the fire contained. The mother and her two children who lived in the apartment made it out okay, but there is heavy smoke and water damage.

The American Red Cross and the apartment complex are working to help out the family. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
