ABILENE, Texas -

A fire broke out at Hendrick Home for Children Thursday afternoon.

About 2 p.m. the Abilene Fire Department was called to the facility where they found a deck attached to the main building on fire. Fire officials believe the fire started in a wood pile on that deck.

They used a chainsaw to cut the deck away from the building.

No damage was done inside the building except for some windows that burst from the heat.

No one was injured and damages will be in the thousands. Investigators are still looking for the exact cause.
