A 20-year-old Hardin-Simmons University volleyball was killed in a car accident Thursday morning.

Jessica Rogers, a 2010 graduate of Henrietta High School, died in a car accident while travelling from Stephenville to Abilene.

The crash happened around 8 a.m. Thursday on I-20 near Eastland.

Rogers was a two-time all-state selection on Henrietta's volleyball team.  She signed with HSU and won the Cowgirls Spirit Award as a freshman.

Jessica Rogers was just short of her 21st birthday.
