Howard Payne University hosts lighting ceremony

BROWNWOOD, Texas -

Howard Payne University signaled the beginning of the holidays Tuesday night.

The university held Christmas on the Plaza where students gathered around the Old Main Tower for the lighting ceremony.

HPU  President Bill Ellis read the Christmas story, and students led in the singing of Christmas carols.

The tree lighting concluded the event. The lights on campus will remain lit until Christmas.
