A Jeep Liberty crashed into the La Botana Restaurant in Brownwood on Tuesday afternoon.

Assistant Chief of Police James Fuller said at about 1:30 p.m. the Jeep hit a car in the restaurant's parking lot before crashing into the dining area.

Only minor injuries were reported, Fuller said.

Police said the crash may have been caused by mechanical issues with the Jeep. The driver told police the accelerator was stuck.
