If you are looking to cool down from the hot weather, you'll have a new place to "splash" in starting on Saturday.

Abilene's first splash pad will open at 11 a.m. Saturday.

It's located at Nelson Park near the Abilene Zoo and Fort Imagination. The splash pad has 26 features and can hold up to 250 people.
