A man accused of robbing a Blue Taco employee in Abilene and getting away with only $5.50 pleaded guilty during September 2012. Phillip Lopez, 22, was sentenced to seven years deferred adjudication. He will also have to pay a $1,000 fine and court costs along with $1,900 in restitution.
A man accused of robbing a Blue Taco employee in Abilene and getting away with only $5.50 pleaded guilty Thursday.
According to police, 22-year-old Phillip Lopez entered the restaurant in April and showed a handgun to the employee.
Lopez was sentenced Thursday to seven years deferred adjudication. He will also have to pay a $1,000 fine and court costs along with $1,900 in restitution.
