A man is in police custody after evading officers for about an hour Monday afternoon in a south Abilene neighborhood.

Neighbors called police saying they saw a man with a gun jumping fences in backyards.  After a search that extended several blocks and through a creek police arrested 26-year-old Lee McKeever and charged him with evading.

They're not sure what he was doing in the neighborhood.  No gun was found but they say he could have ditched one at any point during their chase.

McKeever may face additional charges.
