A man was struck and dragged by a car Monday in a north Abilene neighborhood. It happened around 7:15 p.m. on North 9th Street.

According to police, there might have been an altercation over drugs before the accident. Police did not release the victim's name at the time of the accident.

The man was taken to the hospital to be checked  for injuries described as non life threatening.
