An unidentified man succumbed to the heat and had to be transported to an Abilene hospital Tuesday after assisting crews fighting a fire in Potosi near FM 1750 and County Road 319.

A witness said the fire was reignited from a controlled burn started Monday.

Volunteers from Potosi and Buffalo Gap fire departments responded to the fire, which was located behind a residence.
