McAlister announces plans to run for Abilene City Council seat

ABILENE, Texas -

An Abilene insurance salesman has announced his intention to run for City Council.

Kyle McAlister, a Republican, posted on Facebook that he will be filing to run for the Place 5 seat currently held by Stormy Higgins.

McAlister says he will officially file to run on January 30th.

Higgins confirmed to KTXS News that he will not be seeking re-election.
