National Night Out a big hit at the Abilene Civic Center

Abilene, TEXAS -

In an effort to curb crime, Abilene Police hosted National Night Out at the Abilene Civic Center Tuesday night, along with various other sponsoring organizations.

The public was invited to come out and enjoy free food and fun family activities while watching demonstrations and learning about crime and drug prevention. 

Abilene Police said  neighborhood involvement is crucial the in fight against violent crime.

Target was the national sponsor for National Night Out.
