National Weather Service: 2012 warmest year on record for Abilene

2012 is now officially the warmest year on record for Abilene.
That's according to the National Weather Service, which calculated the average temperature to be 67.9 degrees.
Abilene saw above average temps every month in 2012 except October.
2012 beat out the old record warmest year in 1933, which had an average temperature of 67.6 degrees.
