A new Denny's restaurant will fill the building recently sold off of South Clack, just north of Southwest Drive.

You may have driven by and noticed all of the demolition going on at 3114 South Clack. The building has sat vacant for years.

On-site crews said work on the new Denny's should be finished in 90 days, which would be late November.

We told you last month how the property had sold. At that time, the realtor working the deal told us the new restaurant would provide "direct competition to IHOP."

City building permits now show the Denny's as the property owner filing the paperwork to begin construction.
