Paint Rock road washed away, parents of school children detoured through Ballinger

PAINT ROCK, Texas -

Paint Rock officials urged parents to take their children to school using a different route after a road was washed away over the weekend.

A spokesperson for Paint Rock Independent School District said a road had been washed away in San Angelo between Marybeth and Paint Rock. TxDOT has closed that road.

Paint Rock ISD classes will be in session Monday.

School district officials said parents will need to go through Ballinger to get their children to school.
