A driver who lost control and hit a guardrail on Winters Freeway near the North 1st Street exit has been taken to a local hospital.
Police said a 47-year-old male driving a blue Pontiac Grand Am was traveling north and tried to change lanes when he hit a truck.
The driver over corrected and lost control ? hitting the guardrail. His car suffered most of the damage in the front, right tire area. Paramedics had to remove the driver's car door to get him out of the vehicle.
The driver reported feeling pain and was transported to Hendrick Medical Center.
The car he hit suffered minimal damage.
Authorities have not yet released the driver's name. Police said the driver will likely be issued some sort of citation after they finish assessing the accident.
