Investigators say a pilot has been killed in the crash of his small plane in an East Texas neighborhood.
The Texas Department of Public Safety on Thursday identified the victim as 51-year-old Stephen Annis of Huntsville.
DPS says the plane went down Wednesday afternoon in a subdivision in the Bullard area, about 100 miles southeast of Dallas.
Authorities say Annis was alone during the crash in a wooded area near Lake Palestine. Pieces of wreckage were scattered among the trees and on a road.
Investigators are trying to determine what caused the crash.
