Abilene police have identified the driver who was driving the car that hit and ruptured a gas meter station last week.
Last Friday police received a call of a car that had hit and ruptured a gas meter station near Highway 80.
When crews arrived on scene, they found an SUV laying on its side but the driver could not be found.
Investigators located the driver -- 54-year-old Kevin Knight -- who admitted to driving the car.
Knight was issued two citations.
