HOUSTON (AP) -

Houston police say a man has died after struggling with officers who then used a Taser to subdue him.
Police say the incident happened late Tuesday at a motel. Officers were called to the business after a clerk called 911 to report an agitated man acting in a strange manner.

Sgt. Robert Rohling said the man's hair was wet and he appeared to be sweating profusely.

Officers subdued the man, who was transported to a Houston hospital and died. Police recovered a knife from his pocket.

No cause of death was immediately released. The name of the man who died has not been made public. Further details were not immediately available early Wednesday.
