Rain moves from Texas -- for now
A storm that brought two days of rain to Texas is moving out, followed by an influx of dry air.
The National Weather Service says the dry spell will be short-lived, though, as a front is expected to bring showers and thunderstorms as it approaches from the north on Saturday.
At much as 5 inches of rain was reported in parts of Central Texas on Wednesday, bringing scattered reports of street and road flooding but no severe damage or injuries.
The weather service reports about 3 inches of rain fell in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston areas on Wednesday, while about 2 inches of rain was reported in the Austin-San Antonio area.
