Sales tax revenue may finally be slowing down across the Big Country.
Abilene has enjoyed about a year and a half of continuous increases in revenue, but this month, the city of Abilene will see about a 9.4 percent decrease in the amount of money received.
That's compared to August of 2011, reflecting sales for June in each of the years.
Brownwood numbers also appear to be leveling out with a modest 1 percent increase from this time last year. Money received now is collected from sales made during the month of June.
