As the general election inches closer, both parties are trying to rally the troops.  That was certainly the case at the Abilene Women's Club Tuesday afternoon.

Retired Lieutenant Colonel Borah Van Dormolen spoke to the Republican Women Organization at a special luncheon in support of the Romney/Ryan campaign.

Among the discussion: the political process, an overview of the campaign and where they would like it to be before November 6th.

In 2010 Van Dormolen was honored as the "Distinguished Military Retiree" of Texas for her contributions to active and retired service members and their families.
