It was a good day to wear blue and white saturday afternoon in the Big Country.
After losing game two 11-1 to Miles at Hunter field, the Stamford Bulldogs bounced back to win game three 4-3 and now find themselves in the 1A region 1 regional finals.
About forty miles away the Winters Blizzards took a 1-0 series lead into game two of their best of three series with Seymour. The Panthers jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the fifth inning. The Blizzards responded with a 6-1 run in the last two innings to eliminate Seymour with a 6-5 series clinching win in game two.
Stamford and Winters will now meet on June 2nd for the 1A region 1 regional final. The time, and location of the regional final has not been released yet. An announcement is expected to be made after memorial day.
