Students build gingerbread houses for charity
Abilene Christian University is getting into the Christmas spirit by giving back.
The interior design department held its second annual gingerbread house construction competition Saturday morning.
Volunteers teamed up and used jelly beans and marshmallows to build the graham crackers structures.
At the end, each team's house was voted on. Profits from the event will be donated to "Project Merge," a local home renovation project led by the interior design department.
