Every year Abilene takes budget proposals to renovate their facilities and update the look.
This year the Taylor County Expo Center is asking for twice as much money as they did last year.
Hundreds of different types of events take place each year in the Expo Center and in order to keep up with the often changes, Rochelle Johnson needs a few changes to be made.
"You can imagine, as the building is issued on an every weekend basis, there's lot of damage that's done," Johnson said.
There are rodeos, dog shows and even football games that take place there and that many transformations have taken a toll on the 1969 building.
Johnson asked last year for money to replace the arena seats but didn't receive enough to replace them.
The Expo Center is hopeful that they will have the means to get those new seats this year.
The budget will be evaluated August 8.
There will be two public hearings for Abilene residents to be a part of on August 28 and September 4.
The final budget will be implemented September 11.
