A burn ban is back in effect for Taylor County.
Taylor County Judge Downing Bolls told KTXS commissioners reinstated the ban because of dry conditions and heavy fuel accumulations.
Outdoor burning is no longer allowed, but there are some exceptions for work purposes.
If anyone violates the ban, it's considered a class C misdemeanor.
They can also be held responsible for damage caused by a fire they start.
The ban is in effect for 90 days.
