Three people managed to escape a house fire early Sunday morning.

According to the Abilene Fire Department, around 4 a.m. a fire was reported coming from the master bedroom at a home in the 1900 hundred block of Mimosa Dr.

A male, female and child were able to escape without any injuries.

There was heavy smoke and about $50,000 in damages according to AFD.

Arson investigators have ruled the fire accidental from a clothing iron being left on.
