Tuscola mother, daughter duo arrested for shoplifting
A Tuscola mother and daughter were arrested Sunday for allegedly shoplifting at an Abilene store.
Meredith Cook, 23, and Shirley Hay, 41, are accused of selecting $480 in merchandise from the Walmart on Southwest Drive and passing all points of sale without trying to pay.
According to police, loss prevention employees detained the pair until police arrived.
Both are charged with class B theft.
