Two men have been arrested for what is believed to be at least 18 vehicle burglaries in the city.
Magdaleno Suniga, 19, and Jorge Hernandez, 19, were picked up after San Angelo Public Safety Communications received a call of a reported ?suspicious subject? in the 1700 block of Louise Drive, according to a news release.
The investigation is ongoing, police said, and the number of linked burglaries may increase as victims come forward.
?Several items of recovered stolen property have been returned to the owners, but a substantial amount of suspected stolen property remains,? the release said.
A public viewing of the remaining items will be on Thursday, police said. Those who have been victims of recent vehicle burglaries can view the property between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the San Angelo Police Department.
?None of the vehicle burglaries that were located thus far had any forced entry. All were left unlocked according to victims,? the release said.
