UPDATE: Dyess airman accused of sexual assault found not guilty
A Taylor County jury has found a Dyess airman charged with sexual assault not guilty.
Staff Sgt. Justin Taylor, 29, had been charged with allegedly having sex with an unconscious woman after an April 2010 party at his home.
A grand jury indicted Taylor for sexual assault in May 2011. Witness testimony began Monday afternoon.
Taylor testified Wednesday that he had been drunk the night of the party and could not remember everything that happened.
DNA evidence presented at trial proved Taylor did have sex with the victim. However, he testified he would never force himself on someone.
