A water main break near Victoria and North 3rd Street flooded part of a neighborhood on Saturday.

Police said they believe two cars drove over the water main causing it to crack.

The break happened around 5:45 p.m. Saturday evening.

Police want to remind people if they see a water main break like the one tonight not to drive over it.

They said it can be dangerous. Abilene water utilities department worked on shutting off water valves and getting the break under control.
