The first week of early voting is in the books and there was certainly quite a showing in Taylor and Brown counties.

In Taylor County, elections officials we talked to said they say they had 13,490 voters in all this week compared to 13,888 in the 2008 Presidential Election.

Brownwood saw big voter turnout as well. 4,458 people cast an early ballot this first week of early voting, which say is record breaking.

You can also vote this weekend and next week.  Click here for the Taylor County Polling Places and hours.

In Brownwood, people can vote this Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Adam's Community Center. They'll also be available next week Monday through Wednesday  8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday & Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
