Sunday's storms have knocked out a crucial piece of the puzzle for KACU's radio transmission.
An electromagnetic pulse from a nearby lightning strike hit the STL, or Studio Transmitter Link, on top of the Don Morris Building at Abilene Christian University.
The part is the only one like it in this area -- and its replacement is being ordered from California.
"We hope to be back on air sometime tomorrow (Tuesday)." said John Best, station general manager and director of broadcast operations, in a news release.
