Wylie ISD looking to boost school security
POSTED: 6:43 PM Feb 22 2013
In light of the Connecticut tragedy, Wylie ISD officials are taking a look at security.
Superintendent Joey Light told us they are in the beginning phases of a discussion with the community.
They want to examine security and ways in which Wylie ISD campuses can improve.
Some of the options the district is looking into include school entrance points, adding resource officers, and possibly giving a designated member of each school access to a weapon.
Superintendent Light emphasized there are no changes just yet.
