The Abilene livestock auction held a benefit for relief efforts in the West explosion.
Two calves were donated and then auctioned off on Tuesday. It's not yet known how much they raised.
The President of Abilene Auction, Randy Carson says many cattle auctioneers around the state are being encouraged to hold a 15-20 minute benefit auction for the people of West.
The West auction company is a member of the Texas Livestock Market Association. Their first auction since the explosion is scheduled for Thursday.
"This is cattle ranchers helping other cattle ranchers, if we were to have a tornado in our area they would be lining up to help us too," said Carson.
