Abilene correctional officer indicted for child porn posted to Facebook

ABILENE, Texas - An Abilene man was indicted Thursday after allegedly uploading a sexually explicit video of a seven-week-old infant to Facebook and showing the video on his phone to several people.

Paulin Yagnia Gatchoua, 27, was formally charged with possession of child pornography and possession of child pornography with intent to promote after a Taylor County grand jury handed down the indictment.

Gatchoua was an employee with the French Robertson TDCJ Unit in Abilene, but his status was pending the investigation of the child porn allegations.

According to a search warrant obtained by KTXS, the National Center for Missing and Endangered Children contacted APD on June 1 after discovering a 52-second video on Gatchoua’s Facebook page. It showed an infant female being sexually abused by an adult male.

Gatchoua is currently free on bonds totaling $10,000.
