POSSUM KINGDOM LAKE, Texas - A woman's body was recovered at 2:24 p.m. Sunday at Possum Kingdom Lake. Palo Pinto County Justice of the Peace Shawn Humphries positively identified the body of Lubbock resident Lindsey Culver, 27, who was reported missing at the lake last night. Her family is at the scene. According to Lindsey's Facebook page, she is a Cooper High School graduate.

"Palo Pinto County Justice of the Peace Shawn Humphries today positively identified the body of Lindsey Culver, 27-year-old, female of Lubbock Texas, whose body was recovered from Possum Kingdom Lake earlier in the day. Drowning has tentatively been listed as the cause of death. Justice of the Peach Humphries has ordered an autopsy be conducted by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office.
Culver's body was recovered by Brazos River Authority Lake Rangers and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Game Wardens at 2:24 p.m., Sunday, July 7 in 25 – 35 feet of water from an area of the reservoir known as Hells Gate. She was reported missing at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday, July 6.

"Brazos River Authority Lake Rangers, along with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Game Wardens, recovered the remains of a possible drowning victim from Possum Kingdom Lake today. The body of a female was recovered at 2:24 p.m. in approx. 25 – 35 feet of water in the cove area near Hells Gate, a locally known landmark at the reservoir. Identification is pending at this time. The Palo Pinto County justice of the peace is expected on the scene shortly. Identification of the victim will be provided when a positive identification is made."
