ABILENE,Texas - Folks at Hendrick Health Club were sweating for a cause Saturday.
The health club hosted a 12-hour fitness megathon for the Children's Miracle Network from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Participants paid a $50 registration fee to spend the whole day going to different classes such as dancing, spin and strength training.
Those who attended eight classes received a gym bag, a shirt and a gift card. Whoever attended the most classes was entered to win a bike.
Ron Richert, director of Hendrick Health Club, said they hoped to raise money while bringing health awareness to the community.
"We're trying to make it a way that people can improve their fitness and have a healthy way that they can support Children's Miracle Network. A lot of people this time of year like to exercise and start exercise programs so it's a good way to kind of kick that off and kick it into high gear," Richert said.
