ABILENE, Texas - Some new projects are underway in Abilene, including a number in the southeast side of town.
Primetime Family Entertainment Center has been providing kids in Abilene with something to do for several years now. Wey Scoggin, manager at the center, said a new addition to the building will bring even more options to the community.
"We are building a brand new 35,000-square-foot facility," Scoggin said. "Half of it's going to be an indoor soccer arena. It's going to be 185 by 80-feet wide. And then on the other half will be another smaller field and a kids play place area – a really unique kids play place area."
Scoggin said the project should be completed by the middle of June, but that's not the only construction in southeast Abilene.
"There's definitely some construction around and there has been and it looks like there's going to continue to be more," Scoggin said.
Just off Loop 322 and Gateway Street lies the Tuscany Village office park. That development is still being built by Musgrave Enterprises.
These projects may be a big step for developments in the southeast part of the city, but if you ask the staff at Primetime they'll tell you it's only the beginning.
"There's no end in sight for continuing to expand as long as the community continues to support us," Scoggin said.
