ABILENE, Texas - State transportation officials are holding a public meeting Tuesday to talk about an upcoming construction project that will close the U.S. 84/Business I-20 bridge over the railroad tracks between Tye and Abilene.
The Texas Department of Transportation wants to replace and widen the bridge.
The work would begin in the spring of 2015 and a detour would last about 12 months.
The meeting to discuss the project will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the TxDOT Area Office, 1350 N. Arnold Blvd.
Maps and plans for the detour will be available to review.
