Are You Signed Up For The Taylor or Brown County Alert System? It's Free; You Can Do It Here

ABILENE, Texas - Taylor County and Brown County offer their residents weather warnings and other emergency alerts delivered by telephone.  But you must sign up to receive them.

Taylor County - including the city of Abilene - uses the CodeRED emergency system to alert the residents of the county.

Brown County - including the cities of Brownwood and Early - uses the DeltAlert emergency system for notifications.

When emergencies are declared, everyone who has signed up will receive an automated phone call alerting them to the emergency - including Tornado Warnings.

It is imperative that residents sign up for this service – which costs you nothing – but may someday save lives.
