They’re probably hiding.
Culprits behind a BB gun shooting spree that resulted in extensive damage to Abilene vehicles, businesses and homes over two nights this week apparently have stopped – at least for now.
No new BB gun vandalism cases were recorded over Thursday night and into Friday morning after more than 100 cases were reported over two nights earlier this week.
“We do not believe there were any repeated offenses last night into this (Friday) morning,” Abilene police spokesman George Spindler said.
Spindler said two victims notified police of BB gun damage to their cars Friday, but that it is believed “these had occurred during the initial two-day crime spree.”
