CALLAHAN COUNTY, Texas -

Two horses died Friday after being stung hundreds of times by a swarm of bees.

The incident happened at a home on County Road 242 in Callahan County.

Heath Watson, the owner of one of the horses, told KTXS he had just tied up his horse and a neighbor's horse near his house when the swarm moved in.

Watson was attacked himself but ran into his house to avoid the stings.  He was unable to save the horses which were stung hundreds of times and died soon after.
