Man arrested in murder of Baird woman, 3 other warrants issued
BAIRD, Texas - An arrest has been made in the Jan. 17 murder of a Baird woman.
According to the Callahan County Sheriff Terry Joy, they received information on Jan. 22 about a vehicle involved in the home invasion.
On Jan. 27, Shaliko McGee, 20, of Abilene, was brought in by law enforcement for questioning where he confessed to being present during the crime. McGee was charged with capital murder and booked in the Taylor County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
The Callahan County Sheriff's Office told KTXS they have warrants out for three other individuals involved in the crime.
Michael Wallace, 19, of Abilene, has a warrant out for capital murder with a $2 million bond. A warrant has also been issued for Xavier Sneed, 19, of Abilene, for aggravated robbery. Law enforcement has also issued a warrant for Briana Kikko Payne, 18.
The investigation is still ongoing and law enforcement has asked anyone with information to contact the Taylor or Callahan County Sheriff's Offices or call Crimestoppers at 325-673-TIPS.

No one has been arrested as police continue to investigate the death of a woman after she was murdered in her boyfriend's home in Baird on Saturday afternoon.
Misty Mashburn, 30, of Baird was shot and killed around 3 p.m. Saturday. According to the Callahan County Sheriff's Office, Mashburn's boyfriend, Jeremy Wonnacott, 31, reported his girlfriend was killed by two men after a home invasion at his house on South I-20 West.
The Texas Rangers have been brought in to investigate.
On Tuesday, Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Frederick Biddle said a Texas Ranger, answering his email, said "there were no arrests made."
"He provided no other information," Biddle said in an email.
Wonnacott told police two men wearing masks broke into his home demanding money and their cell phones. Mashburn refused and was shot after the men took their cell phones, fleeing the scene. According to law enforcement, three children were in the home at the time, but were not injured.
The sheriff's office has said Wonnacott called police after the men left and a crime scene was taped off for investigation. Mashburn's family was notified Saturday evening by law enforcement.
