Authorities have identified a body found in a Houston-area field as the investigation continues into what led to the death.
The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office on Thursday identified the woman as 33-year-old Shundra Johnson of Harris County. Autopsy results are pending.
Johnson's remains were discovered Tuesday afternoon near Arcola (ar-KOH'-luh), about 20 miles south of Houston. Someone passing by noticed the body and contacted law officers. Sheriff's authorities say the area is not near any homes or businesses.
Investigators did not immediately release further details.
