Coleman County house a total loss after weekend fire

NOVICE, Texas - A family of six in Coleman County needs a new place after a fire destroyed their home this weekend.

The house, located in Novice, was unoccupied at the time, according to Coleman Fire Chief David Martinez. Firefighters responded to the fire around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Martinez said the home is off of FM 702 and Bond Street and it sustained so much damage they won't be able to determine a cause.

The Coleman Fire Department, as well as the Santa Anna and Novice volunteer fire departments, responded to the blaze.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for the victims, which can be accessed by clicking here.
