EASTLAND KIDNAPPING: Cisco man, 21, arrested for sexual assault, attempted murder of girl, 12

Cisco man charged with kidnapping and assault of 11-year old girl

EASTLAND COUNTY, Texas - A 21-year-old Cisco man is in the Eastland County Jail in connection to the kidnapping, sexual assault and attempted capital murder of a young Eastland girl found injured near Lake Cisco on Sunday afternoon.

Clayton Lee Fought is being held with bail totaling $3 million.

The victim celebrated her 12th birthday on Monday.

According to complaints filed by Kenneth Preston, an investigator for the 91st Judicial Criminal District Attorney's Office, Fought has "admitted to the offense and given specific details which would only be known by the perpetrator."

According to a Texas Department of Public Safety news release, the 12-year-old girl's father contacted the Eastland Police Department about 1 p.m. Sunday and reported his daughter and his pickup truck were missing. At that time, Texas Rangers, Eastland County Sheriff's Office and various other law enforcement agencies joined in the search for the girl.

"As the search began, the Cisco Police Department obtained information that led officers to a wooded area at Lake Cisco where the girl was located," the news release said. "The father's pickup was also located nearby. It was apparent that the girl had been assaulted and was taken to a hospital for treatment."

According to the child's family, she was found about 3 p.m. Sunday at Lake Cisco suffering from stab wounds to the leg and neck.

The victim's family has said she was flown to Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth, where she reportedly remains in stable condition.

A candlelight prayer vigil for the 12-year-old victim was held Monday night at the First Baptist Church in Eastland. According to a Facebook post announcing the event, donations and birthday gifts were welcome.
