Klapheke Case: Convicted Airman Perez moved to California prison

ABILENE, Texas - The Dyess Air Force Base airman convicted two weeks ago of child endangerment in the Tiffany Klapheke case is headed to a military prison in California.

Christopher Perez was convicted in a military court-martial and sentenced to a three-year prison term.  He'll serve his sentence at the Naval Consolidated Brig in Miramar, California.

Perez had been held in the Taylor County jail.

Tiffany Klapheke's daughter Tamryn died of neglect last year.

Perez was having an affair with the woman while her Air Force husband was deployed.
