An ex-head shop employee is charged with being a public nuisance after police allegedly found a bag full of synthetic drugs in his Abilene hotel room.
Police were called to the Best Western on Ridgemont Drive early Tuesday evening about suspicious activity. Officers talked to 29-year-old Fountain Bullard of Clyde and realized he had a warrant for his arrest for driving without a valid license.
According to an arrest report, Bullard is a former employee of the Hippy Express on South 14th Street and officers allegedly found a full bag of synthetic marijuana in his room after he was arrested.
The head shop was forced to close in June after city officials realized the owner did not obtain a certificate of occupancy prior to opening. Despite the closure, officers said they are still getting reports about employees selling the synthetic drugs.
