Firefighters battle early morning north Abilene house blaze
Firefighters battled an early morning fire at a vacant house in the 2000 block of Sandefer, which is located in north Abilene.
The blaze started shortly before 6 a.m. and was reportedly under control by around 6:30 a.m.
Authorities said the fire apparently started near the attic – and that it marked the second time they have responded to a structure fire at that location this week.
The fire caused significant damage to the rear of the home. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
We will continue to monitor and bring you the latest information as it becomes available.
